Mechanical Engineering (Petrochemical)
Student At Polytechnic Tun Syed Nasir Syed Ismail
Final-year Mechanical Engineering (Petrochemical) Diploma student specializing in Petrochemical plant systems, rotating equipment, and custom metal fabrication. I bridge classical mechanical execution with modern control systems, leveraging skills in precision machining, process piping, and microcontroller-based sensor integration. Passionate about practical troubleshooting, system optimization, and bringing technical engineering concepts into fully functional hardware.
What is LyriconTech?
LyriconTech is my personal technical project identity and portfolio, created to document and showcase my hands-on work in engineering, electronics, embedded systems, and technology.
It also serves as a platform where I experiment with web hosting, DNS, email infrastructure, and other technical systems.
Project Role: Lead and guided a team of 3 members from concept design to fabrication and safety testing.
Engineering Narrative & Troubleshooting: Designed a modular mini-plant to test HHO as a catalyst fuel in power generation. During mechanical fabrication, identified drive shaft wobble caused by an unbalanced pulley adapter. Precision-machined a custom adapter using a lathe and milling machine to secure the engine keyed shaft to the pulley, ensuring stable power transmission.
Project Role: esigned circuit architecture, executed control system wiring, and adapted embedded firmware for ESP32 microcontroller operations.
Engineering Narrative & Troubleshooting: Integrated an ESP32 microcontroller with an IRLZ44N logic-level MOSFET to regulate HHO dry cell gas production via PWM signal modulation. During testing, resolved measurement inaccuracies on the INA219 current/voltage sensor caused by a ground potential difference between the 12V alternator supply and the isolated 5V logic step-down circuit by unifying the reference ground system.
Workshop & Process Equipment Experience
Hands-on experience in disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling wafer-type butterfly valves used in fluid flow control systems.
Plant Operations & Process Instrumentation
Hands-on operational training on a multi-level petrochemical pilot plant pilot skid, focusing on fluid flow dynamics, heat exchange, and continuous process control.
Welding Techniques & Safety
Practical training in oxy-acetylene welding techniques, including safety protocols, equipment operation, and hands-on welding exercises.
